Digital PR Specialist

The Wolfgang Digital SEO team is looking for a Digital PR and Outreach Specialist with a passion for content marketing, online media relations, and outreach. The role is designed for someone who thrives on building relationships with digital publishers and isn’t discouraged when journalists don’t reply to your emails. 

As a successful candidate, you’ll work closely with our SEO, Content and Creative teams, helping to build out our client’s Digital PR and off-page SEO strategies to earn digital media placements across a variety of industries. The ideal Wolfgang Digital PR & Outreach Specialist can quickly understand and support initiatives that will contribute to sustainable improvement of new and existing client campaigns

Key Functional Areas of Responsibility

  • Responsible for digital PR initiatives and online community management for multiple clients, across a range of industries
  • Responsible for planning and implementing digital PR campaigns in line with clients’ business goals
  • Regularly research and source partners/influencers, create relationships and maintain a database of online and offline contacts.
  • Cultivate relationships with journalists, website publishers, and online influencers
  • Provide recommendations and execute strategies for content development in coordination with SEO goals – both data-driven and keyword-specific
  • Develop and implement creative content marketing and link-building campaigns
  • Manage the outreach process from beginning to end, including content ideation, pitch strategy development, pitch writing, press release writing, website/media list building, and outreach
  • Support SEO, Content & Creative teams in executing content marketing and PR strategies focused on earned digital media placements
  • Track, analyse, and optimise the effectiveness of outreach campaigns. Build case studies highlighting the processes and activities along with proven results
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends, practices and developments (digital industry, clients’ industries and agency industry)
  • Propose and initiate unique outreach campaign ideas and strategies with clients
  • Lead in development, ideation and execution of data-driven, content-led outreach and link building strategies in coordination with SEO goals
  • Monitor and administer analytics dashboards, reports and key reporting tools, and highlight KPIs
  • Communicate internally to team and management and client stakeholders on project development, timelines, and results
  • Work closely with fellow team members to achieve and exceed client goals

  • Outstanding ability to think creatively, and identify and resolve problems

  • Ability to clearly and effectively articulate thoughts and points regarding strategic Digital PR
  • High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, project management and time management skills

Professional Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of recent experience in Digital PR and/or Digital Marketing/SEO executing outreach campaigns
  • Clear understanding of online consumer behaviour
  • Experience working with recognised keyword research tools such as SEMRush, KeywordTool.io, SEOmonitor
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Docs product suites
  • Strong copywriting skills, especially for online audiences
  • Experience using Digital PR and SEO tools such as Ahrefs, Majestic, BuzzSumo and BuzzStream
  • Ability to research relevant websites, publishers and contacts to build relationships
  • Financial media experience preferred, but not required
  • Skilled in pitching and securing media placements that support brand- and link-building
  • Excellent verbal, written, and digital communication skills
  • Creative thinker with an ability to use both data analysis and visualisation, relying on experience and intuition to inform decisions
  • Third-level qualification in the field of PR, Communications, Digital Marketing or Computer Science preferred but not essential
